Las Playas

Torre Del Mar The closest beaches to Cutar. Except for August, when it is completely packed, you can usually get parked. There are several car parks along the front where you might find someone directing you to a space. They will expect €1 for this service, but that is all the cost for these spaces. The easiest spaces to find a marked in blue. These spaces require payment and are limited to 2 hours but it is less than €1 per hour. You will see people dressed in a blue uniform, who will take your payment. They stop for lunch from around 1.30 to 4.30. If you park at this time, they will put a ticket on your car when they start back. When you are leaving, take this ticket to one of the collectors and they will take payment. If you arrive when they are on duty, find one and pay in advance. If you stay too long or don’t pay in advance, the fine seems to be €6. There is an underground car park at the east end of town which usually has spaces. At the west end of town there is a large dusty space which is free to park on, but there is work going on in the area and the space is harder to access and smaller than it once was. This is the place to park for Berebere.

Caleta de Velez This is the next town along the coast from Torre. Again limited parking, but you will find somewhere if you go early. If heading down from the motorway you will pass and Aldi. Go straight over the roundabout and around the corner there is a €1 car park.

El Palo Half way to Malaga, El Palo draws people in from the big city due to its high number of fish restaurants. There are some nice beaches along the length of the town. Parking is more of an issue here.
