In the area around Cutar you are spoilt for choice when it comes to places to eat. We have had very few meals that we weren’t happy with. Below are some of the restaurants that we have visited.
el Borge
- Pacos We will usually have at least one visit to Pacos on every trip. Always friendly and great service from Paco himself and his wife does a great job in the kitchen. The stuffed mushroom, avocado salad and gambas pil pil are some of our favourites. Worth whatsapping him on +34616288904 to book a table.
- Hotel Posada Del Bandolero
- Restaurante La Piscina
Comares
Hotel Restaurante Atalaya Their pork cheek dish is really good. Only open for lunch and closed on a Friday.
Torre del Mar
There are so many restaurants, but here are some that we have tried.
Boraz As with a lot of the beach front restaurants, they also rent out loungers. Boraz have very good waiter service, so you will be kept well refreshed as you relax in the sun. The restaurant does slightly modern takes on the classic Spanish dishes. Paella is very good, but needs a bit of advance notice.
Marisqueria el Radar Set back from the beach but on the main street, a long established sea food restaurant.
Berebere This is at the far west end of the beach. Again you can rent loungers and the food is very good.
Restaurante Asiatico Shanghi Very nice food. A little different from the UK, but in a good way. Dont be put off by the look when you arrive.
El Palo
There are so many great restaurants here, but the most famous is El Tintero. Featured on Gordon Gino and Fred’s Spanish road trip, this place is worth a visit just to experience the atmosphere. It seats over 600 people, but on a Sunday at 2, you will still see a 50 meter queue outside. On a busy day they feed over 2500. So long as it isnt too quite a time, they have no menus. The waiters walk around the restaurant with arms full of dishes, shouting out what they have. Stick your hand up and take a plate. At the end of the meal, someone comes along, counts the plates and glasses and gives you the bill. Pay on the way out and get a huge cheer from the guy the size of a bear if you give a tip.
