The Pool

Cutar has one of the best outdoor pools in the area. The downside being that it is only open during the summer. It usually opens in mid June and then closes mid September. This seems to vary slightly each year depending on how hot it is. The pools opening hours are 12 to 8 every day.By the pool there is a Kiosk run by Sensi and Ignasio which is open every day the pool is open except for Wednesdays. They offer a selection of drinks and tapas which varies daily. They also do a selection of burgers. Drinks are around €1.20 for a can of beer or €1.50 for a soft drink. Tapas are €2 and the burgers are around €5. The kiosk is usually open for the same hours as the pool, but there are days when you see Ignasio’s van coming back up after midnight, so if it is busy, it will often stay open longer. The down side of this is that if they have a very busy Sunday, they run out of stock, so have to go to the shops on Monday morning, so dont open until later.

The picture below is was taken around 1.30 during the week. The pool is usually very quiet at this time. At the weekend it gets very busy from early on, so if you want shade, go early.

The kiosk on a Wednesday, when closed.

This is the kiosk on a Wednesday, its day off.

This is Alison about to walk down to the pool. Our house is on the left of the picture. If you head down the road, it is about 500 meters to the pool. There is parking for about 20 cars, but would advise to walk if you can.
